Chris McCoy's X Account Suspension

Dear STORE Community,

We want to inform you about a recent development concerning our CEO, Chris McCoy. On Wednesday, August 7th, Chris discovered that his X account (@chrisamccoy) had been suspended.

We want to be transparent with our community about this situation:

1. We are currently unaware of the specific reasons for this suspension. Chris's posts have consistently complied with X's terms of service.

2. It's possible that our @foggythebot account, which shares information about STORE economic activity on X and Telegram, may have inadvertently contributed to the suspension. However, this is speculation on our part.

3. Chris has submitted an appeal to X, requesting a review of the suspension. Here's an excerpt from his appeal:

"I am genuinely puzzled by this action, as I have always strived to adhere to X's rules and community guidelines. [...] X is an integral part of my work as CEO of STORE Research, helping build @thestorecloud. Also, in a think tank I help curate called @data4america. Personally, it's how I connect with the world on their ideas and inventions. It's a great avenue of personal expression and intellectual curiosity."

We are actively working to resolve this issue and will keep the community updated as we receive responses from X regarding the reason for @chrisamccoy's account suspension.
