What Are STORE TREASURIES?

STORE TREASURIES are infrastructure security deposits — not a governance mechanism. By depositing $STORE tokens into the TREASURIES protocol, participants provide long-term security to the STORE network and earn algorithmically calculated rewards in return. Governance rights remain entirely separate through STORE Democracy.

The program operates under constitutional mathematics enforced by First Governance (operational 2020–2025), with a 3% annual inflation cap protecting all depositors from monetary dilution.

Treasury returns match the 2-Year Fed Funds Rate, paid annually. Inflation for TREASURIES is market-dependent, while the protocol enforces a constitutional 3% annual inflation cap — ensuring sound monetary policy and long-term purchasing power protection for all depositors.

The protocol aims to maintain 1–2% annual inflation for network security, with the ability to upgrade to a 100-year treasury structure through future community governance — one ten-year upgrade at a time.

Founder Commitment: 8-Year Lock-Up

STORE founders and founding entities — including the future STORE Association in Switzerland — have committed to depositing over 60% of their token holdings into TREASURIES for 8-year terms. As of April–May 2025, 30% of total token supply is already locked in TREASURIES.
