STORE's March 2025 update: STORE AI advancements, automated compliance, and progress on Swiss regulatory framework for decentralized cloud computing.
Greetings, STORE community! March has been a month of remarkable progress as we've advanced several critical infrastructure components while strengthening our regulatory framework. From patent acquisitions to significant development milestones in STORE AI, SATS security protocol, and our Treasury systems, we're building a solid foundation for our upcoming launch. We've also been actively present at industry events, establishing key partnerships that align with our vision for decentralized computing and democratic AI governance.
While we continue to prepare The State Of STORE - Spring 2025 global report, we're focused on completing and shipping foundational work on VERIFY and STORE AI, which will be available live on storecloud.org soon.
Engineering
March has delivered significant technical breakthroughs across multiple fronts of the STORE ecosystem:
We've formally acquired our second patent (US 12,165,142 B2) for fork-tolerant consensus protocol, establishing the foundation for permanent storage in not only verifiable cloud computing but blockspace computing as well. This technological advancement represents a crucial piece of our permanent storage infrastructure.
STORE Infrastructure 2.0 is now live at storecloud.org/infrastructure, introducing the "public commons" – services powering STORE that run on STORE Infrastructure itself. This technical roadmap provides the foundation for protocol evolution and establishes the architectural path forward.
We've made a major advancement by now defining STORE AI as a ⅔-trusted and democratically governed network of self-adapting APIs that power the STORE ecosystem with dynamic intelligence. With 238 AI weights operating under Byzantine Fault Tolerance principles, this foundational technology ensures all economic parameters are determined through transparent, verifiable processes. Development of v0.2 is already underway, and we're beginning to specify compute, storage, and verifiable requirements for STORE to power emergent on-chain robotics and machine economies.
The first preview of STORE Economy 3.0 is now available at storecloud.org/economy. This infrastructure layer connects financial tracking to protocol governance and establishes the operational framework for our decentralized monetary system. We've reached the third phase of our post-launch Economy architecture with auctions, staking, and depositing systems now in development. This infrastructure enables true user participation in protocol economics – not just token holding, but active governance and value capture.
The next phase of STORE Identity design and architecture is now complete, bridging our protocol-level infrastructure with user-facing applications. This critical milestone brings our infrastructure to the consumer level – a major breakthrough in our implementation stack.
We've also identified a significant revenue opportunity through our cloudspace accounting and billing architecture. We're building the infrastructure to enable opt-in advertising within the permanent storage ecosystem, creating a new value flow for protocol participants. While this R&D is early, it shows extremely promising potential.
Operations
Our operational focus in March has been on advancing our compliance frameworks and preparing for the Swiss launch:
CLEAR's next iteration focuses on U.S. Accredited Investor checks for the global STORE economy, serving as the regulatory bridge that enables compliant tokenization at scale. We've filed SEC Form D, establishing the legal foundation for our token ecosystem.
We've advanced to the next phase of R&D on our Token Registration Protocol (ADAMS), which is required for First Release. One potential partner is upgrading their software stack to meet our requirements, while we're scheduling a demo with another.
The Treasury Branch implementation is now in hand, providing the foundation for STORE TREASURIES – the decentralized monetary system that powers everything else. The Treasury Branch will begin integration work shortly, connecting to our accounting and wallet systems.
On the accounting and bookkeeping front for cash, crypto, and stablecoins, we've made crucial progress toward our Switzerland launch. We're designing an economy where STORE Democracy operates as a tax-paying meta-entity, with sub-entities beneath it driving its growth. Setting up QuickBooks, Bitwave, and Bitgo accounting and wallet systems to match our unique economic framework in Switzerland marks a major step forward.
Our team spent time in NYC meeting with key partners and allies, yielding critical infrastructure connections with partners who understand our vision for decentralized computing and AI governance. These discussions focused on technical alignment between our infrastructure roadmap and industry requirements for permanent storage and verification systems.
Governance
We've advanced SATS to the next phase of R&D. SATS is our overarching security protocol for all systems in STORE. This gives us an opportunity to prove to our Swiss lawyers that we can automate lower-level content/data moderation by enshrining rules in the ratified STORE Constitution that partner APIs can enforce, thus satisfying our regulatory requirements. The security work with SATS and LOVELACE focuses on automated moderation of data storage and smart contracts, enabling us to identify a technical path for these protocols to operate without falling under MiCA requirements while maintaining operational integrity.
The Swiss Association implementation continues to advance, providing the operational foundation for STORE Democracy as a tax-paying meta-entity with growth-driving sub-entities. Our Treasury Branch team is implementing the design for the Swiss Association, which ties into our ongoing regulatory work with MME.
We've made significant progress establishing STORE Economies for Treasury Deposits and Governance. Years of R&D are now materializing into functional systems, with long-term Governance (staking) and Treasury economies (depositing) advancing to the next stage of development.
Our work with MME in Switzerland continues, particularly on the decentralization framework needed for launch. This work connects our Swiss Association structure to our MiCA compliance framework as well as our security protocols for data and smart contract automated governance.

The next phase of Treasury Branch implementation is now in hand. This isn't just another module - it's the foundation for STORE TREASURIES, the decentralized monetary system that powers everything else. Treasury Branch begins work next week on integration.
2. Post-Launch Economic Engine: Phase 3
We've reached the third phase of our post-launch Economy architecture with auctions, staking, and depositing systems now in development. This infrastructure enables true user participation in protocol economics - not just token holding, but active governance and value capture. We're expanding to track STORE utility, usage, and revenue across all protocol fronts.
3. Automated Compliance Layer
CLEAR's next iteration automates U.S. Accredited Investor checks for the global STORE economy. This isn't just paperwork - it's the regulatory bridge that enables compliant tokenization at scale. SEC Form D filed as well, establishing the legal foundation for our token ecosystem.
4. Token Registration Protocol: Grace Hopper Phase
Advanced to the next R&D phase of our Token Registration Protocol. This suite of cryptographic tools enables compliant token distribution with provable records.
5. Embedded Web3 Advertising Stack
Identified a significant revenue opportunity through our cloudspace accounting and billing architecture. We're building the infrastructure to enable opt-in advertising within the permanent storage ecosystem, creating a new value flow for protocol participants. Our intense R&D sprint with MME in Switzerland has continued and is yielding promising pathways for MiCA compliance. By working to solve the decentralization problem across data, APIs, AI, and compute simultaneously, we've identified potential regulatory optimizations that could accelerate our launch timeline.

Patent Acquisition: Fork-Tolerant Consensus Protocol Our second patent (US 12,165,142 B2) has been acquired, establishing the foundation for permanent storage in a fork-tolerant blockchain consensus protocol. This technology lays the groundwork for permanent storage in not just verifiable cloud computing but blockspace computing as well.
Treasury Branch Advancement
We're advancing to the next phase of R&D with STORE TREASURIES. We're working alongside the STORE Treasury Branch on this critical long-term economy for STORE. A key critical project in Treasury and Governance is now "done" and ready for future announcement.
Staking and Depositing Economies
Staking and Depositing Economies are both advancing to the next phase of R&D (more work with legal teams). This phase has yielded very promising results that will be incorporated into our economic architecture.
Financial Infrastructure
On the accounting and bookkeeping front for cash, crypto, and stablecoins, we've made crucial progress toward our Switzerland launch. We're designing an economy where STORE Democracy operates as a tax-paying meta-entity, with sub-entities beneath it driving its growth. STORE AI Integration
We are now exposing STORE as being powered by STORE AI (STORE's +2/3 trusted Economic Oracle). Additionally, we are beginning to specify compute, storage, and verifiable requirements for STORE to power the emergent on-chain robotics and machine economies. We will expose these AI endpoints in STORE Infrastructure once through early research.
⚖️ Compliance Work
Our work with MME in Switzerland continues, particularly on the decentralization framework needed for launch. Our Treasury Branch team is kicking off the design and implementation for the Swiss Association, which will tie into our next round of regulatory work with MME.

I spent the week in NYC meeting with key partners and allies. Our R&D and Swiss Association teams continue to ship while I'm on the road. The Public State of STORE report continues to be compiled for end of March release.

The next phase of STORE Identity design and architecture is now complete. This critical milestone brings our infrastructure to the consumer level - a major breakthrough in our implementation stack. Identity now bridges protocol-level infrastructure with user-facing applications.
3. Security Framework for Regulatory Compliance
The security work being done with SATS and LOVELACE focuses on automated moderation of data storage and smart contracts, per the ratified AI in the STORE Constitution. This R&D is critical to fully achieve our regulatory goals. We've identified a technical path for these protocols to operate without falling under MiCA requirements while maintaining operational integrity.
